Always.
No longer within reach
And unable to grasp
He is silently falling
Descending so fast

Superficial and grey
Numbing air fills the void
Walls are rapidly growing
He pretends to avoid

Continually reaching
For all he holds dear
As they drift, he is praying
That it not disappear

A touch slightly clouded
Through the distance and haze
Yet he feels her completely
Every hour of each day

Although shadows may loom
Darkened paths so unknown
There will always be light
From all that she has shown
